Embakasi East is a constituency in Kenya. It is one of seventeen constituencies in Nairobi , with an area of 64.70 km 2 (25.0 sq mi). [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Embakasi East includes five electoral wards: Upper Savannah, Lower Savannah, Embakasi, Utawala and Mihango.

It consisted of eastern and southeastern suburbs of Nairobi. With 164,227 registered voters, it was the most populous constituency in Kenya.

Embakasi Sub-county had the highest population of 988,808, accounting for more than 22% of the total population of the county; Kasarani came in second with 780,656. Kibra Sub-county with an area of 12.1 km 2 (4.7 sq mi), had the least population among the sub-counties but had a high population density of 15,311/km 2.
Utawala is located approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) east of Nairobi's central business district. It is lies along the Nairobi Eastern Bypass Highway, and borders, Mihang'o to the north. Utawala is a transregional neighbourhood domiciled in both Nairobi's Embakasi area and Machakos County's Athi River Sub-county.
