The Watchmen first came together in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1988. Founding members were Daniel Greaves, Joey Serlin, Sammy Kohn and Pete Loewen. [2] After performing together for several years, they released an album, McLaren Furnace Room, in 1992. [3] In 1994, Loewen left the band and was replaced by Ken Tizzard.
Last Road Trip was the farewell tour by The Watchmen in December 2003. In November 2003 the band decided to go their separate ways. However, they decided that before they did so, they would perform one last short tour across part of Canada as a "Thank You" to their fans.
The lead single from the project "Bombs Away," was released the same day. A second single "Fields" (featuring Daniel Greaves of The Watchmen, and Ian D'Sa of Billy Talent on backing vocals) was released on November 12, 2021. 7.1 was released on November 19, 2021, and the band announced a 15-date tour of Canada.
