The shingle style boathouse was built by the Cascadilla School from 1894 to 1896 as a structure to store boats and lies on the south end of Cayuga Lake. [1]
Stewart Park is also the location of the Cascadilla Boat Club's boathouse, commonly called the Cascadilla Boathouse. The Fuertes Bird Sanctuary and Renwick Wildwood are popular locations for birdwatching within Stewart Park.
