Mitchell returned for a guest spot in season 7. The show jumped the shark when they introduced that little girl who served no purpose other than being cute. It was pointless because they wrote out the youngest boy who served the same purpose. Also Duffy and Somers were pretty old to be parents of a younger child anyway.
I watched this show just to get a refresher and the theme song is practically the Full House theme with different lyrics. And I forgot that Peggy Rea and Patrika Darbo were in the first season as Suzanne's mother and sister. They were written off and made way for Sasha Mitchell.
r1 I do recall reading an interview with Larry Hagman after the shows axing was announced but months before the final episode had aired and he said something along the lines that he thought the show had a good 3 or 4 years left in it and he believed it could have and should have continued until around 1994 or 1995.

Just like Bruce Weber's other "discoveries", Michael Schoeffling and Sasha Mitchell. But I remember in a MOPI thread, someone who knew him said Rodney was actually bisexual and not just gay4pay and he had a loving relationship with an older man.
