LexisNexis is a third-party data furnisher that gathers as much public information on individuals as possible. Much of the data is obtained from various public record sources, as well as credit and insurance companies, and is used to provide risk analysis to entities such as insurance agencies, credit reporting bureaus, employers, and banks.
Suppressing my LexisNexis report has had no effect on rental, car insurance, etc. I think everyone should figure out a way to suppress LexisNexis, maybe not freeze, but suppress. A freeze slams it shut for FCRA (lending/verification purposes), but a suppression generally makes it unavailable to data brokers.
Going to be doing an app spree and will likely need to unfreeze my Lexis. Any way to unfreeze this without having to call in each time? - 6605962
Hey Everyone, I was recently turned down for credit based at least in part on my SageStream profile. So I froze it. For good measure, I then froze my LexisNexis and Innovis while I was dealing with the less common CRAs. Now, I am blocked from lifting my freeze online at all 3 CRAs. I assumed it was being caused by LexisNexis, and decided I was ...
Keep in mind that LexisNexis is a data aggregator and not a data source - there isn't much data they have that didn't originate from elsewhere and if they have bogus data there's a strong possibility that other aggregators also have it. My own personal experience is that they aren't difficult to work with if there is incorrect information to be ...
As most of us probably know, the insurance companies are robbing (many of) us blind with the "insurance scoring" charade. It all starts with Lexis Nexis (LN). The issue with Lexis Nexis is that their data is often wrong, VERY WRONG. They confess that they pull data from all over the internet AND they make the claim that they are not responsible ...
Soft inquiry Question - Re: LexisNexis. Hi again all! I'm in the process of helping a friend of mine review her yearly CR's. I noticed on her Experian report that she had several* (8 total) "soft" inquiries from "LexisNexis Risk Solutions" during the month of Feb 2010, each being initiated by a different type of Insurance company.
Which lenders use LexisNexis plus the "Big3" CRA, and which lenders only use the "Big3"? Is it fair to assume that any of the personal loan companies (Marcus, LightStream, Avant, etc) are pulling a LexisNexis RiskView Liens & Judgements Report in addition to the "Big3" CRA? Also, do credit card issuers typically pull LexisNexis?
I did not know they could do that without SSN. Interesting, though, and now I at least know why it's there. Thanks! I just checked my Experian report for the first time ever. It shows a request on 5/8/2013 from LEXISNEXIS/STATE FARM The comment states: - 2143677.
Will result in massive deforestation and needing a separate "printer ink" line of credit! Lesson Learned: DON'T POKE THE BEAR!!! THE BEAR WILL WIN!!! Pulled my LexisNexis report yesterday... nearly 100 pages spanning over 25 years. If FCRA says that information can only be kept 7-10 - 6308218.
