Chicot State Park is located near Ville Platte, Louisiana. This wildlife reserve of South Central Louisiana features 6,400 acres (26 km 2 ) [ 1 ] of rolling hills surrounding a 2,000-acre (8 km 2 ) man-made lake [ 5 ] stocked with bass, crappie (sac-au-lait), bluegill, and red-ear sunfish.

A free public boat launch, barbecue and picnic facilities, a fishing pier and gazebo may be found at the end of Morrison Parkway, near City Hall and the downtown area.
