The Nagoya City Transportation Bureau (名古屋市交通局, Nagoya-shi Kōtsūkyoku) is a municipal government agency responsible for public transport in Nagoya, Japan. The organization operates subways and buses. It was founded in 1922, as an operator of Nagoya City Tram bought from Nagoya Electric Railroad, the current Nagoya Railroad.
Nagoya Guideway Bus Co. manages the guideway facilities and cars, while Nagoya Municipal Bus operates buses on the line. The Yutorito Line is the only guided bus line in Japan. The line is legally considered to be a type of railway , with the elevated section treated as a type of tram . [ 1 ]

[1] Passenger railway usage and density is lower than that of Greater Tokyo or Greater Osaka, as generally the trend in Japan, few free maps exist of the entire network, operators show only the stations of their respective company and key transfer points.
The majority of the buses in use were made by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, because those were the buses used by Nagoya Railroad when the routes began. However, the buses run by Gifu were models made by either Isuzu or Nissan Diesel , so there is some variety among bus types.
The cars are 2.6 metres (8 ft 6 in) wide. The Mc car has a capacity of 34 seated and 46 standing, and the M car 36 seated and 48 standing, for a total capacity per train set of 244. [1] The cars have a semi-monocoque construction of welded aluminum, with two emergency doors at each car end and two 1,200-millimetre (47 in) doors per side. [1]
