This template is an alternate to the {{Non-free use rationale}} template. This template is designed to be used in conjunction with {{Non-free media data}}. On every non-free image's description page, each article which uses that image must be noted, and given its own non-free use rationale.
For more specific rationale templates, look in Category:Non-free use rationale templates. A different approach is to use {{Non-free media data}} combined with {{Non-free media rationale}}, which is less clumsy in situations where an image is used in multiple articles.
