Times Beacon Record Newspapers is a community newspaper publisher, located in Setauket, NY, consisting of seven different weekly newspapers serving Suffolk County localities on the North Shore of Long Island spanning from the town of Huntington into Wading River. East Setauket is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) on Long Island, in the town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, New York, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census. Before that it was part of the Setauket-East Setauket CDP. The community is in northwestern Suffolk County, in the northwest part of the town of Brookhaven.
As Setauket was his home town, artist William Sidney Mount (1807–1868) is buried here too. The church and burial ground were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. [ 1 ]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.7 square miles (22.6 km 2), all land. [2]New York State Route 25 (Middle Country Road) passes through the community and is the primary commercial thoroughfare.
