Rochester is a city in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 32,492 at the 2020 census, making it the 6th most populous city in New Hampshire. [2] In addition to the downtown area, the city contains the villages of East Rochester, Gonic, and North Rochester. Rochester is home to Skyhaven Airport and part of Baxter Lake.
Skyhaven Airport covers an area of 195 acres (79 ha) and contains one asphalt paved runway designated 15/33 which measures 4,001 x 100 ft (1,220 x 30 m). For the 12-month period ending July 31, 2006, the airport had 17,000 general aviation aircraft operations, an average of 46 per day.
It offers connections to regional routes 2, 4, and 7 and runs in tandem with the Lafayette Road Trolley (Route 41) in a continuous loop. The Trolley routes run on a reduced schedule on Saturdays. [1] It is part of the Cocheco River watershed, a tributary of the Piscataqua River. Lake access is from the state launching ramp off Four Rod Road.
Mollidgewock State Park is a 46-acre (19 ha) park in Errol, New Hampshire, on the Androscoggin River along Route 16 within Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area.
