DiSC itself isn't copyrighted. Marston didn't protect it. So there is a bifurcation between discussion of the MODEL and any TEST which purports to show what someone's profile is. So, you can't validate DISC as a CONCEPT without a test to do so. DiSC by Inscape, I think, is the largest instrument used.
