Bimba Devi alias Yashodhara (බිම්බා දේවී හෙවත් යශෝධරා) is a 2018 Sri Lankan Sinhala language epic, biographical drama film written and directed by professor Sunil Ariyaratne. [2] This historical biographical film depicts the life of princess Yashodhara, the wife of Prince Siddhartha.
She has worked in various Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Sinhala films. She is known for her roles as Dharma in the television show Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (2015–2016), [ 5 ] [ 6 ] and as Yasodhara - the wife of Prince Siddhartha - in the film Bimba Devi Alias Yashodhara (2018).

Yaśodharā or Yashodhara (Pali: Yasodharā, Sanskrit: यशोधरा, romanized: Yaśodharā, originally known as Bhaddakaccānā or Bhadrakātyāyani was the wife of Prince Siddhartha (until he left his home to become a śramaṇa), the mother of Rāhula, and the niece of Mahaprajapati Gautami [2] [3] [4] She later became a Bhikkhunī and is considered an arahatā.
Following the successful Sunil Ariyaratne's Paththini in 2016, starring Pooja Umashankar and after completing post production Bimba Devi Alias Yashodhara in 2018, starring Pallavi Subhash, Ariyaratne was announced his next project Vijayaba Kollaya as a film present for celebrating 71st anniversary of Sinhalese Cinema.
Bommarillu is the soundtrack album composed by Devi Sri Prasad for the 2006 Telugu-language film of the same name directed and co-written by Bhaskar in his directorial debut, and produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. [1]
Gopika was born in Vizianagaram and brought up in Hyderabad.After her initial training in carnatic classical music from her own Aunt Smt. M Padma, Gopika further trained under renowned Padmabhushan Smt. Sudha Raghunathan, Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar, Smt. Prabhavathi and at present she is under the tutelage of the famous classical exponent Smt. Binni Krishnakumar. [6]
In the same year, she made playback singing for the film Bimba Devi alias Yashodhara. [37] After that song, she became an A-Grade singer at Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation . She is the youngest to achieve the feat.
