The school moved to a new building located on the former playing fields of Llanedeyrn High School [1] in September 2013, after Llanedeyrn High School closed. Today, the school accommodates around 1400 Christian, faith and non-faith pupils between the ages of 11 and 18, with year groups 7 to 11 and an optional sixth form (year groups 12 and 13).
The school was awarded specialist Sports College status, before converting to academy status on 1 October 2012. Since converting to an academy, the school is now run by the Chingford Academies Trust, which also includes Chingford Foundation School. The current headteacher of both schools is Rob Mammen who took control replacing Jane Benton in 2023.
Today it is a boarding and day school serving primary and secondary education in a democratic fashion. It is now run by Neill's daughter, Zoë Readhead, [5] assisted by her sons Will and Henry Readhead. Although the school's founding could arguably be dated to other years, the school itself marks 1921 as the year of its establishment. [3]
