Fredrikinkatu with Temppeliaukio Church visible in the background. Fredrikinkatu (Swedish: Fredriksgatan, Helsinki slang: Freda) is a street in Helsinki, Finland that starts from Viiskulma in the district of Punavuori and continues north by the western side of Kamppi Center until it reaches Lutherinkatu and the Temppeliaukio Church in Etu-Töölö.
However, despite these wide streets there are also several Sitte-inspired picturesque streets and squares, most notably Temppeliaukio square (in the centre of which is the "church in the rock"). Töölö has always been the most respected as a place to live, but the prices of apartments are high, especially in Etu-Töölö.

The crypt chapel of the cathedral is named after the holy Alexander Hotovitzky, who served as vicar of the Orthodox parish of Helsinki 1914–1917, died a martyr death in the Great Purge and was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1994. [9] The cathedral is set upon a hillside on the Katajanokka peninsula overlooking the city.
