Dudleya viscida is a rare succulent plant known by common name as the sticky liveforever, sticky dudleya or the San Juan stylophyllum. It is endemic to California, where it is found on rocky slopes. It is unique among the genus Dudleya in that it has sticky, fragrant leaves, a trait only shared with Dudleya anomala.
The flower has a sweet smell. It is an annual plant that originally came from Mexico. In its natural habitat Datura ceratocaula grows in shallow water or in a swamp. It has a hollow gray-green stalk between 12 and 36 in. long, with toothed, undulated ovate-lanceolate leaves that have hairs on the underside. [1]
The stems are usually succulent or semi-succulent, and the leaves are sometimes semi-succulent. [11] [12] The leaves are long, thin and blade-like to lanceolate, from 3–45 cm long (1.2–17.7 in).
