Hockett's Design Features are a set of features that characterize human language and set it apart from animal communication. They were defined by linguist Charles F. Hockett in the 1960s. He called these characteristics the design features of language. Hockett originally believed there to be 13 design features.
Human Design is a pseudoscientific [1] [2] new age practice, described as a holistic self-knowledge system. [3] It combines astrology , the Chinese I Ching , Judaic Kabbalah , Vedic philosophy and modern physics .
Human intelligence is the intellectual capability of humans, which is marked by complex cognitive feats and high levels of motivation and self-awareness.Using their intelligence, humans are able to learn, form concepts, understand, and apply logic and reason.
Spatial intelligence is an area in the theory of multiple intelligences that deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye. It is defined by Howard Gardner as a human computational capacity that provides the ability or mental skill to solve spatial problems of navigation, visualization of objects from different angles and space, faces or scenes recognition, or to ...
Behavioural design is a sub-category of design, which is concerned with how design can shape, or be used to influence human behaviour. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] All approaches of design for behaviour change acknowledge that artifacts have an important influence on human behaviour and/or behavioural decisions.
These associations suggest five broad dimensions used in common language to describe the human personality, temperament, and psyche. [78] [79] Beneath each proposed global factor, there are a number of correlated and more specific primary factors.
Personality can be determined through a variety of tests. Due to the fact that personality is a complex idea, the dimensions of personality and scales of such tests vary and often are poorly defined. Two main tools to measure personality are objective tests and projective measures.
Human-centered design has its origins at the intersection of numerous fields including engineering, psychology, anthropology and the arts. As an approach to creative problem-solving in technical and business fields its origins are often traced to the founding of the Stanford University design program in 1958 by Professor John E. Arnold who first proposed the idea that engineering design should ...
