The approval of Republic Act No. 10184 on September 28, 2012, increased Bukidnon's representation by reapportioning the province into four congressional districts: the municipalities of Kalilangan and Pangantucan were segregated from the first district and the city of Valencia from the second district to form the new fourth district. It consists of the municipalities of Baungon, Libona, Malitbog, Manolo Fortich, Sumilao and Talakag. [4] Prior to redistricting in 2012, the district stretched further south to include the municipalities of Kalilangan and Pangantucan. [5]
