Henry Edward Catto Jr. (December 6, 1930 – December 18, 2011) was an American businessman and public servant. [2] A native of San Antonio, Texas and son of a prominent insurance man, he was educated at T.M.I.—The Episcopal School of Texas, graduating in 1948, and at Williams College, graduating in 1952.

Octavius Catto (1839–1871) was born in South Carolina and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [2] He protested to desegregate Philadelphia's trolley system, recruited African Americans to join the Union Army during the American Civil War, and campaigned for Pennsylvania to ratify the Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which banned voting discrimination based on race.
