Icaria, also spelled Ikaria (Greek: Ικαρία, ), is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, 10 nautical miles (19 km) southwest of Samos. Administratively, Icaria forms a separate municipality within the Ikaria regional unit , which is part of the North Aegean region .
Karkinagri (Καρκινάγρι) is a village and a community near the southwestern tip of the Aegean island of Ikaria, Greece. It has about 300 permanent residents. [2] Primarily a fishing village, it is surrounded by rocks and by the Atheras mountain range. It is located near Kavo Pappas.
The Archaeological Museum of Agios Kirykos houses various relics from an ancient tower outpost on a nearby mountain. These relics range from pottery shards to jewelry to arrow heads. Prior to 2010, the building functioned as the town’s high school before being repurposed into a museum. Another addition made to the town is the breakwater.

Ikaria (Greek: Περιφερειακή ενότητα Ικαρίας) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of North Aegean . The regional unit covers the island of Ikaria and the small archipelago Fournoi Korseon , in the Aegean Sea .
Karavostamo (Greek: Καραβόσταμο) is a seaside village on the island of Ikaria, Greece. It is composed of an upper and lower village and is situated in the northern part of the island east of the municipal unit of Evdilos. It has 503 inhabitants (2021).
Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ikaria, of which it is a municipal unit. [2] With a population of 2,282 inhabitants (2021 census) and a land area of 101.768 km 2 , [ 3 ] it is the largest in area, smallest in population, and therefore the least densely populated of the three municipal units on Icaria.
