Presumably this will change soon, with the next release. MV4 is more or less identical with MP4. Nevertheless, on the tab 'Summary' of Handbrake, you can select MP4 as container format for the output file. To set MP4 as preferred container, from 'Tools.Preferences.Output Files.MP4 File Extension' select 'Always use MP4'. Z.

None of my videos now play audio when in the editing window - only just happened. The audio exports to the destination when rendered, just no playback at all during editing which is making this software pretty much redundant. Sorted it. Lightworks had decided to switch output to another device in the main settings window before opening a video.
In general, 1080p represents 1920x1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 1.778, whereas the aspect ratio of 4096x2160 is 1.896. To match aspect ratio of 1080p, without black bars, and in order to avoid distortion caused by asymetric scaling/cropping, you need to crop 4K DCI to 3840 x 2160 (aka UHD, QFHD) first, and scale to 1080p afterwards.
