I don't have any money to purchase any cool editing softwares like filmora. I just want a video editor than can help me edit school projects and has above-average editing features. Right now I use canva education, but it literally drives me insane. The download speed is something that has already made me break down 6 times a week now.

Try DaVinci Resolve, it may not be the easiest but you will be able to do everything you want. Da Vinci resolve is the best free and better than a lot of paid, manual is free too if you need to learn the ins and outs. !freesoftware. I need a free video editing software for windows where I can merge and cut videos, I've tried so many but they all have watermarks, I am posting the videos to YouTube so I can't have a huge watermark on a video. Any suggestions would be great.
CapCut, no watermark at all but some features need Pro. Capcut do have enough feature for you, can export up to 4K 60fps, can make subtitle easy (TTS is available), whatsoever that you need is kind of here. Use mod versions. I'm thinking of starting a YouTube channel, I've heard of capcut and kinemaster.
