Stonefield Castle is a Scottish baronial manor house near the village of Stonefield, north of Tarbert, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. It was built on the site of an earlier building, known as Barmore, and has been in use as a hotel since 1950.

Tarbert Castle in 2008 before restoration works. Tarbert Castle is located on the southern shore of East Loch Tarbert, at Tarbert, Argyll, Scotland, at the north end of Kintyre. Tarbert Castle was a strategic royal stronghold during the Middle Ages and one of three castles at Tarbert.
Tarbert was anciently part of the Gaelic overkingdom of Dál Riata and protected by three castles – in the village centre, at the head of the West Loch, and on the south side of the East Loch. The ruin of the last of these castles, Tarbert Castle, still exists and dominates Tarbert's skyline.
Tarbert is a hamlet on Tarbert Bay, on the east coast of the island of Jura, in the council area of Argyll and Bute, Scotland. [1] The Tarbert estate is owned by Ginge Manors Estates Ltd. [2] It is on the A846 [3] about 11 miles (18 km) from Craighouse. There is the remains of a chapel that was dedicated to St Columba. [4]
