L-Orizzont (lit. "The Horizon") is a national daily newspaper in Malta published by Union Print Co., the media arm of the General Workers' Union . [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The newspaper was founded in 1962 by Anton Cassar , who also served as the paper's first editor.

Anton Cassar (1924 – 30 June 2014) was a Maltese journalist and editor, who founded L-Orizzont, a national daily newspaper, in 1962. [1] [2] Cassar also served as L-Orizzont's first editor. [1] Cassar was born in Marsa, Malta, in 1924. [3] He started his career as a journalist at Il-Berqa in 1946.
