Rajasimha is a 2018 Indian Kannada-language action film directed by debutante Ravi Ram and produced by C. D. Basappa. [2] The film features Aniruddha, [3] Nikita Thukral and Sanjjanaa in the lead roles along with Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Sharath Lohitashwa and Arun Sagar in key supporting roles.
The film tells the story of Raja Ravi Varma at a certain stage in his life. He is in the process of painting a masterpiece. The theme of his painting is Pururavas, the legendary king who fell in love with the heavenly nymph, Urvashi, who later agrees to become his wife on certain conditions, but disappears without a trace when she discovers that the conditions were violated.

He is attributed with a small group of paintings in a distinctive style, produced for Raja Savant Singh, and mostly depicting the king and Bani Thani as Krishna and Radha respectively. These are "widely held to be the finest of all Rajasthani miniatures", and are unusually large for their type, reaching 19 by 14 inches (48 x 36 cm). [ 1 ]
Bani Thani was a singer and poet in Kishangarh in the time of Raja Sawant Singh (1748–1764), whose mistress she became. After he abdicated the throne the couple retired to a comfortable life in Vrindavan , a place associated with the life of Krishna and Radha , to whom Sawant Singh was greatly devoted.
