The Palletized Load System is designed to provide ground transportation for dry and refrigerated containers with a container roll-in/roll-out platform (CROP) or other types of cargo on PLS flatracks. When equipped with tank racks or load handling system compatible water tank racks (HIPPOs) it can also transport bulk petroleum products or water.
The MPH165-PLS system is produced under licence by Oshkosh and is also fitted to the M1074 and M1075 PLS and Logistic Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR).
