The Philippine one-peso coin (₱1) is the fourth-largest denomination coin of the Philippine peso. The current version, issued in 2018, features a portrait of Philippine national hero, José Rizal on the obverse. The reverse side features the Waling-waling orchid and the current logo of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
On December 9, 2011, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) issued a commemorative one-peso coin in celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of José Rizal. The coins are in the same dimensions as the circulating one peso coins with Rizal's face from the front instead of in profile.

The Flora and Fauna Series (Tagalog: Seryeng Flora at Fauna) was a series of Philippine peso coins minted from 1983 to 1994, in denominations from 1 sentimo to ₱2. The series used the Optima typeface as their main text. The sizes of the coins were reduced in 1991 (except 1 to 10-sentimo coins), and the ₱5 coins were reintroduced in 1991.
