Lonoke County is a county located in the Central Arkansas region of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2020 census , the population was 74,015, making it the 10th-most populous of Arkansas's 75 counties. [ 1 ]

Lonoke is in central Lonoke County. According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 4.6 square miles (12 km 2 ), of which 4.3 square miles (11 km 2 ) is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km 2 ) (6.07%) is water.
The original owner of the land it sits on was Chester Ashley, a U.S. Senator.He was one of the first settlers to the area of Scott. The land was gifted for the site creation by Virginia Alexander, and her daughter, Joan Dietz, is credited with the early organizing of the settlement park.
Scott is located in western Lonoke County and eastern Pulaski County and is bordered to the west by the city of North Little Rock. U.S. Route 165 passes through the community, leading northwest approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) to Interstate 440 and southeast 8 miles (13 km) to Keo. Downtown Little Rock is 12 miles (19 km) west of Scott.
Keo is located in southwestern Lonoke County. U.S. Route 165 passes through the town, leading northwest 19 miles (31 km) to North Little Rock and southeast 4 miles (6 km) to England. Arkansas Highway 15 leads north from Keo 16 miles (26 km) to Furlow and southeast with US 165 to England. Arkansas Highway 232 leads west from the center of Keo.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Hamilton Township covers an area of 37.3 square miles (96.5 km 2), with 36.8 square miles (95.3 km 2) of it being land and 0.46 square miles (1.2 km 2) of it, or 1.20%, being water.
