The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is a building code created by the International Code Council in 2000. It is a model code adopted by many states and municipal governments in the United States for the establishment of minimum design and construction requirements for energy efficiency.
The primary baseline national model energy codes are the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), the ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1: Energy-Efficient Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings (ASHRAE 90.1), and ASHRAE Standard 90.2: Energy-Efficient Standard of New Low-Rise Residential Buildings.
