Oceana County (/ ˌ oʊ ʃ i ˈ æ n ə / OH-shee-AN-ə) is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 26,659. [2] Its county seat and largest incorporated community is Hart. [3] Oceana County is located in the West Michigan region of the state's Lower Peninsula.

Geography [ edit ] According to the United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 35.7 square miles (92 km 2 ), of which, 35.1 square miles (91 km 2 ) of it is land and 0.6 square miles (1.6 km 2 ) of it (1.82%) is water.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 2,932 people, 1,034 households, and 801 families residing in the township. The population density was 82.9 inhabitants per square mile (32.0/km 2).
Ferry Township is a civil township of Oceana County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,271 at the 2020 census. [3] Ferry Township was established in 1869. It was named for U.S.representative and later U.S. senator from Michigan Thomas W. Ferry. [4] [5]
