The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination sat for by all Form 5 secondary school students in Malaysia.It is the equivalent of the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) of England, Wales and Northern Ireland; the Nationals 4/5 of Scotland; and the GCE Ordinary Level (O Level) of the Commonwealth of Nations.
As the third oldest branch campus, UiTM Perlis is also the largest UiTM branch campus, after the main campus in Shah Alam. It is a premier institution of higher learning in Perlis. It was officially established on 5 July 1974, with a pioneer intake 258 students, undergoing 1 preparatory course and 5 diploma programmes.
The UiTM R&D Roadmap specifically emphasised increasing the number of principal investigators and students to publish in Web of Science and Scopus journals. Research funding in UiTM has been steadily increasing from just over RM 14 million in 2006 to RM50.4 million in 2011.

The Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) is a 9-month post-graduate course and examination taken by foreign law graduates and graduates of the Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Hons) from the University of Malaya [1] and Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA, [2] to become a qualified lawyer in Malaysia.
