Louisburg is a town in and the county seat of Franklin County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2020 census , the town population was 3,064. [ 4 ] The town is located approximately 29 miles northeast of the state capital, Raleigh , and located about 31 miles south of the Virginia border.
Franklin Medical Center was a hospital in Louisburg, North Carolina that closed on October 16, 2015. Previously, it was part of the Novant Health organization. [1] In September 2017, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners announced that they came to an agreement with Duke LifePoint to reopen the hospital as part of Maria Parham Health.
