The .38-55 is renowned for its exceptional accuracy at ranges up to 330 yd. At 330 yards, the 255 gr bullet will have dropped almost 100 inches. The .38-55 is a 150 yard cartridge, maybe up to 200. Not 300. There is a source out there that talks about wound penetration at 330 yards, which is probably where this misinformation originates.
