Akira Toriyama (Japanese: 鳥山明, Hepburn: Toriyama Akira, April 5, 1955 – March 1, 2024) was a Japanese manga artist and character designer.He came to be regarded as one of the most important authors in the history of manga, authoring highly influential and popular series, particularly Dragon Ball.
He began Dragon Ball Super with illustrator Toyotarou in 2015, and continued to work on the manga until his death in 2024. Toriyama also created numerous character designs for various video games such as the Dragon Quest series (1986–2024), Chrono Trigger (1995), Blue Dragon (2006), and some Dragon Ball video games .
After leaving from Tatsunoko, he wrote several screenplays such as Captain Tsubasa, Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya of Toei Animation. In parallel with works as screenwriter, he is endeavoring to bring up young talents. In 1986, he found "Anime Scenario House" to train the young anime scenario writers.

Toyotarou (Japanese: とよたろう, Hepburn: Toyotarō, born May 17, 1978) [1] is a Japanese manga artist.He has drawn several Dragon Ball-related manga and is best known for illustrating Dragon Ball Super (2015–present), which was written by series creator Akira Toriyama until his death in March 2024.
In anime, he was known as the voice of Frieza from Dragon Ball Z Kai and Dragon Ball Super, Kei Kurono from Gantz, Prince Soma from Black Butler, and Shingen Takeda from the Sengoku Basara series. He was also known for Mock Combat for Cosplay panels at anime conventions. [4] [5]
