David Rimmer (20 January 1942 – 26 January 2023) was a Canadian experimental filmmaker [1] and university instructor. His works came to prominence in the Underground Film community in the 1970s. In 2011, he was awarded a Governor General's award for his lifetime achievements in the arts.
Formed in late 1969, the group originally featured vocalist David Byron, guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist Ken Hensley, bassist Paul Newton, and drummer Alex Napier. David Reimer was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on 22 August 1965, the elder of identical twin boys. [3] He was originally named Bruce, and his identical twin was named Brian. [ 4 ] Their parents were Janet and Ron Reimer, a couple of Mennonite descent who had married in December 1964. [ 4 ]
