The Fifty Nine Icosahedra enumerates the stellations of the regular icosahedron, according to a set of rules put forward by J. C. P. Miller, including the complete stellation. There are 58 stellations of the icosahedron, including the great icosahedron (one of the Kepler–Poinsot polyhedra), and the second and final stellations of the icosahedron. The 59th model in The fifty nine icosahedra is the original icosahedron itself. Many "Miller stellations" cannot be obtained directly by using Kepler's method.
In their book The Fifty-Nine Icosahedra, Coxeter et al. enumerated 59 such stellations of the regular icosahedron. Of these, many have a single face in each of the 20 face planes and so are also icosahedra. The great icosahedron is among them. Other stellations have more than one face in each plane or form compounds of simpler polyhedra.
