Robert W. (Bob) Mattson Jr. (born May 31, 1948) is an American lawyer who held elective political office in Minnesota, and is also involved in various business ventures in Florida, Colorado and Canada. He served one term as Minnesota State Auditor from 1975 to 1979, and was Minnesota State Treasurer from 1983 to 1987.
To be elected state treasurer, a person must have been a qualified voter, permanently resident in the state of Minnesota at least 30 days prior to the election, and at least 21 years of age. [ 1 ] In the event of a vacancy in the office of the state treasurer, the governor was empowered to appoint a successor to serve the balance of the term. [ 2 ]
