Kingdom 4: Return of the Great General (Japanese: キングダム 大将軍の帰還, Hepburn: Kingudamu Daishōgun no Kikan) is a 2024 Japanese historical war film directed by Shinsuke Sato. [2] An adaptation of the manga of the same name by Yasuhisa Hara, the film is the sequel to Kingdom 3: The Flame of Destiny (2023).
Production took place in Japan, and the filming occurred in China and Japan during April 2018. [3] [4] On April 18, 2018, Hara tweeted a movie-ized cover illustration promoting the manga's move to the big screen. [5] A trailer was released by Sony Pictures on January 16, 2019. It is a sequel to Kingdom (2019) and Kingdom 2: Far and Away (2022). The film stars Kento Yamazaki, Ryo Yoshizawa, Kanna Hashimoto, Takao Osawa, and Masami Nagasawa as returning cast for the film. A sequel, Kingdom 4: Return of the Great General, was released on July 12, 2024. [3]

On June 11, 2024, the Japanese historical war film Kingdom 4: Return of the Great General announced that One Ok Rock would be performed the film's theme song titled "Delusion:All". It is the second song by the band to feature on the film adaption of manga series Kingdom franchise since the 2019 first film with "Wasted Nights". [3]
