The Ochoco National Forest has three wilderness areas in the Ochoco Mountains. They are the Bridge Creek Wilderness, the Black Canyon Wilderness, and the Mill Creek Wilderness. The Bridge Creek Wilderness is very remote, and at 5,400 acres (22 km 2), it is the smallest wilderness in Oregon. It has few visitors except during the fall hunting season.
