Hidden for over 10,000 years, Inner Space Cavern is one of the best-preserved caves in Texas. It was discovered by a Texas Highway Department core drilling team in the spring of 1963 and was opened to the public in the summer of 1966.

Tickets. You can purchase tickets for the Adventure Tour upon arrival at the cave. The Adventure Tour goes in the cave about every 15 to 25 minutes throughout the day. Tickets for the Hidden Passage Tour are on a first come, first serve basis at the cave.
Inner Space Cavern is located in Georgetown, Texas on the outskirts of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The cave is conveniently located next to IH-35 at exit 259 (Northbound or Southbound). Coming From Waco (North): Drive south on IH 35. Take exit 259 toward Texas 26 Spur/ Southeast Inner Loop.
The Adventure Tour is our classic tour of the cavern. Your guide will lead you on a paved and lit trail to see our largest and most decorated rooms and formations. You’ll learn all about the history and discovery of our cavern during this 1 hour to 1 hour and 15-minute tour.
