Mammoth Cave National Park is more than just the home to the longest cave system in the world. It is a place for hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, and camping on over 52,000 acres in south central Kentucky.
Today, Mammoth Cave National Park (the park) comprises approximately 52,830 acres in Edmonson, Hart, and Barren counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Visitors are drawn to the park by its caves, scenic river valleys, bluffs, forests, and abundant wildlife.
Most visitors arrive at Mammoth Cave National Park by car. The park is located very close to Interstate-65, a major north–south Interstate Highway that connects the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes.
The Visitor Center is centrally located and surrounded by the Woodland Cottages, hiking trails, the amphitheater, and The Lodge at Mammoth Cave. The Historic Entrance is a 5 minute walk down the hill west from the Visitor Center and Lodge area.

Mammoth Cave National Park is located at 1 Mammoth Cave Parkway, Mammoth Cave, KY. The visitor Center is open daily (closed December 25) with core hours from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm, Central Time. Tour times, Visitor Center Hours, and visitor services change seasonally.
Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway to the Visitor Center. From the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park.
