The University of Santo Tomas System consists of four existing campuses and one upcoming satellite campuses located in Southern Tagalog. The Manila campus is the main educational institution of the system. The integration of select Dominican schools was a mandate of the 2012 and 2016 Provincial Chapters of the Philippine Dominican Province.

As a catholic university, UST opens each school year with the Mass of the Holy Spirit called as Misa de Apertura. [1] [2] The mass is usually officiated by a bishop, concelebrated by the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines, the Rector of the university, and priests of the Priory of St. Thomas Aquinas, and clergy studying or teaching in the university.
In the summer of 2018, the campus was merged with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and became, along with the UW Milwaukee at Washington County campus, part of the College of General Studies at UWM. The Universities of Wisconsin system announced in March 2024 that the campus would close in spring 2025.
