Chiang Rak (Thai: สถานีรถไฟเชียงราก) is a railway station in the central Thailand, located in Khlong Nueng Sub-District, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, outskirts Bangkok. It is a class 2 railway station 37.47 km (23.28 mi) from Hua Lamphong (Bangkok railway station).

King Rama V ordered a canal, Khlong Rangsit, to be built for agricultural purposes for the people in the Thung Luang and Bang Wai area. When the canal was finished, the government changed the name of the district to Khlong Luang to commemorate King Rama V 's foresight.

The subdistrict is named after the canal flows through it, "Khlong Maha Sawat" [a]. [2] A 28 km (17.4 mi) long canal dug during the King Rama IV's reign bridging Khlong Bangkok Noi in Bangkok and the Tha Chin river in Nakhon Pathom province. Throughout the canal, there are 7 pavilions on both sides, about 4 km (2.5 mi) apart.
Hua Ro, Tha Thong, Ban Khlong, Phlai Chumphon and Ban Mai are subdistrict municipalities (thesaban tambon). Ban Mai has not covered parts of tambons Wang Nam Khu and Wat Phrik since 1999. There are further 14 Subdistrict Administrative Organisations - SAO (ongkan borihan suan tambon). [2]
