The 6th Infantry Division is an infantry division of the Indian Army. It was a raised as a part of the Indian Army during World War II on 1 March 1941 in Secunderabad. On 11 September 1941 it was shipped to Iraq and later Iran. During 1942 and 1943 it was part of the Tenth Army.
