Submarine is the debut solo EP by English musician and Arctic Monkeys lead vocalist Alex Turner, released on 14 March 2011 by Domino Recording Company.It was written by Turner in 2009, on an acoustic guitar, at his New York City home.
Turner provided an acoustic soundtrack for the feature film Submarine (2010), which additionally served as his solo debut extended play (EP). He co-wrote and co-produced Alexandra Savior's debut album Belladonna of Sadness (2017).
The band's first album The Age of the Understatement was released eight years prior, in 2008, to critical acclaim. [1] Since then, Turner had released three albums with Arctic Monkeys, Humbug (2009), Suck It and See (2011), and AM (2013), as well as composing the acoustic soundtrack for the feature film Submarine (2010).
