The House of Representatives of Nepal is the lower house of the country's Federal Parliament. It is housed at the International Convention Centre, in Kathmandu, the capital. The current House of Representatives was elected by the general elections held on 20 November 2022, and its first session convened on 9 January 2023. [1] [2] [3]

After the end of the hereditary Prime Minister system in 2007 B.S., the Government of Nepal used this palace compound to house government offices. The palace compound is occupied by both chambers of the Parliament of Nepal (the Pratinidhi Sabha, or House of Representatives , and the Rashtriya Sabha, or House of the States ).
The house meets at the International Convention Centre in Kathmandu. The House has 275 members; 165 elected from single-member constituencies by first-past-the-post voting and 110 elected through proportional electoral system where voters vote for political parties, considering the whole country as a single election constituency.
