However, due to a dispute with league management, the team left for the local Metropolitan Soccer League, and following that league's merger with the National Soccer League to become the Greater Chicago Soccer League, they left for the Premier League where they play as of 2024. Panathinaikos Chicago is a Greek-American soccer club based in Chicago, Illinois, which competes in the Midwest Region of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) in 2021. The team plays its home matches at Nike Sports Complex located in Naperville, Illinois. It is currently the only team in Illinois that participates in the NPSL. [1]
