The Farmall H is a medium-sized two-plow row crop tractor produced by International Harvester under the Farmall brand from 1939 to 1954. It was the most widely produced of International Harvester's " letter series ", with approximately 390,000 produced over the 14-year run.

The McCormick-Deering W-4 was based on the Farmall H and used the same International Harvester C152 152-cubic-inch (2,490-cubic-centimetre) displacement gasoline engine, with options for kerosene and distillate fuels. A five-speed sliding-gear transmission was standard, with fifth gear disabled on tractors that were delivered with steel wheels.
Farmall was a leader in the emerging row-crop tractor segment. A 1937 McCormick-Deering Farmall F-12 tractor on display at the Cole Land Transportation Museum [16] in Bangor, Maine. Following the introduction of Farmall, several similarly styled "F Series" models were introduced while the original design continued to be produced as the "Regular."
The Farmall 450 replaced the 400 in 1956, and was produced until 1958. The 450 had similar style updates to the corresponding 300/350 upgrades to the H line, and a larger 281-cubic-inch (4,600-cubic-centimetre) gasoline engine.
