Silver Lake is a long and narrow natural freshwater lake on the border between Hernando County, Florida, and Sumter County, Florida. This lake is surrounded by the Withlacoochee State Forest. On the south shore are the Silver Lake Campgrounds. A public boat ramp on the lake shore is within the campgrounds.
It runs south to north from the Hernando-Citrus County Line to a dead end at the Withlacoochee River, northeast of Inverness. The route was formerly designated at SR 581, [1] and the connection to SR/CR 581 in southern Hernando, Pasco and Hillsborough Counties was severed by the renumbering of Snow Memorial Highway as CR 481.
County Road 476 is a long bi-county road in northern Hernando County. It runs west to east and includes Centralia Boulevard, Citrus Way, and Lake Lindsey Road.
