If your third-party email app is having issues connecting, sending, or receiving emails, you may need to reconfigure your account or update the app. Use these steps to identify and fix the source of the problem.
Find your application's "Email Accounts" or "Account Settings" section, select your AOL Mail account, then update to your new password. If you've activated 2-step verification for your AOL account, you'll need to generate and use an "app password" to access AOL Mail from these apps.
Click the Email Accounts button. Look for the email account you want to update and double-click on it. Remove and re-enter your AOL Mail password.
