The par-72 18-hole golf course was designed by Harold Paddock and built in 1928. [3] [4] The course was more recently renovated under the direction of golf architect Keith Foster. [5] [6] The club does not now tend to favor hosting large golf tournaments, although the 1952 Western Open and 1939 Women's Western Open were held there.
Founded in 1892 as a polo club, in 1895, the club moved to a site in the city of Clayton where it hired James Foulis, winner of the 1896 United States Open Golf Championship, to build a nine-hole course. The course opened in October 1896. In 1913, with Clayton becoming more populated, the club looked to move further west.
Subsequent to its 1899 founding in Webster Park, Algonquin moved to its current location in Glendale, Missouri in 1903. The current course was designed by architect Tom Bendelow and was constructed by Robert Foulis in 1904. At this time it had nine holes and an additional nine holes were added in 1914.
Wentzville was laid out in 1855. [6] The community is named for Erasmus Livingston Wentz, who was the chief engineer of the Northern Missouri Railroad. [7] A post office called Wentzville has been in operation since 1859. [8] Wentzville is the location of the first Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the United States.

Herculaneum is home to the Joachim Golf Course, located at 959 Scenic Drive. It was built in 1934 by the St. Joe Minerals. The course is now owned by the Doe Run Company and is leased to the Joachim Golf Club. It is a regulation nine-hole golf course with four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skills.

The course was designed by Donald Sechrest and opened in 1995. It is a par 72 course and has a rating of 73.5 and a slope rating of 134 on Rye grass. It is owned by the city of Maryville, Missouri.
